PVA Fibres are very suitable for reinforcing concrete objects like countertops, sinks, furniture and art objects. Read more about this in our blog.
PVA Fibres (polyvinyl alcohol) are high quality strengthening fibres for concrete and mortar. Because PVA fibres prevent (hairline) crack formation they are suitable for many different applications. PVA fibres are elastic, have a high tensile strength and a good bonding force. The fibres are highly resistant to alkalis in concrete, UV light and abrasion. PVA fibres adhere up to 300% better to concrete and mortars. The single fibres are available in three thicknesses (deniers)
RECS 7 - length 6 mm
RECS 15 -length 8 mm
RECS 100 - length 13 mm
Because of the fine structure of the fibres, the fibres are hardly visible on the surface of the product with the bare eye. Larger fibres will be visible sooner, but can be processed in higher dosages. Shorter fibres clot sooner during mixing.
